I can not believe that a year has gone by. I love watching the whole first year of a child's life. They learn and grow so much in that year, it' s truly amazing. Drake actually turned 1 yesterday on the 31st, but we celebrated today with family. It was a fun day. He, like all my kids, wasn't sure what to do with the cake. We teach them for a whole year not to make messes, and then on their birthday, we cut them loose to make a disaster. I wonder what goes through their little heads... Anyways, he did eat a little frosting, but didn't make a giant disaster like I thought he would. He really didn't even like it all over his hands. But it was still really cute to watch! I always try to get a cake with blue frosting because when Pop Jones was here, he would always smile back at you with blue lips, teeth, and tongue. I guess it's just a fun memory to think back and remember when he was here. We held up the tradition and had blue frosting today. We talked about Pop's and his blueness. Grandma Jones smiled and remembered with us...Drake is such a fun baby. He is so pleasant and it almost scares me for when he turns 2. It seems like if you have a good baby, then your 2 year olds are little terrors. But he really wasn't the best baby, he's just pleasant now. Hopefully that means he won't turn on me :) Drake loves to get into anything he can reach. He loves loves loves to crawl under anything and everything. He tries to crawl under the bar stool spindles, and doesn't fit at all. He is just sure if he keeps trying, his little head will eventually push it's way under. (He usually ends up going over the spindles :) He loves the bathtub. And of course to splash the water so the whole bathroom needs a good drying before pajama time. What baby doesn't like to splash water? He really likes music, He dances every time it comes on, and it makes everyone smile.
I love my baby Drake! I can't imagine him being my last one, and hope that he isn't! I'm still trying to talk Jared into 1 more. I'm a little afraid he won't be budged, but we'll worry about that another day...

That was a great party!! Thanks for letting me come, sorry the gun wasn't here in time for the birthday, I could tell Drake was very upset.. ha ha ha.. Dont worry he'll have it soon.
