11 Years Later

Today is our 11 year Anniversary. I can not believe it has been 11 years. Who knew that we would still love each other, have 4 beautiful children, live in a great neighborhood, have some genuine friends, own our own business, and still want to be together. I did! It has been an adventurous 11 years. We have had our ups and downs, but the most important thing is that we've worked through them, and are still the best of friends. I couldn't feel any more blessed. We started out in my Dads duplex 11 years ago, and I remember that when Jared would go hunting, I hated it because down the road was a drug house, and so people came and went all through the night, and I was sure there was going to be gun fire or something one time when he was gone. There never was, and the house eventually got busted.

Jared pulled out a piece of paper out of his wallet today, with my phone number on it in my sister's hand writing. He got it from Jaimee at MiniMart where we both worked. He still has it folded in his wallet.

We are going to do sealings at the temple tonight. How fitting...I remember when we were sealed. It was a special day! Hopefully we will be able to seal some families together tonight, I wonder how long some of them have been waiting. I bet they will be so excited to finally be linked together for Eternity. I know I feel happy that my little family is linked.

I look back at these pictures and laugh at how young we look, what am I talking about we were only babies...20 years old. Wow we were little.

I remember on our HoneyMoon Jared got pulled over and I was so angry. It was in Nevada on our way to Lake Tahoe. The ticket was like $300.00 or something. What a fun way to spend your wedding money huh? Oh well, it has all passed and I still love him probably even more than I did back then.

Pumpkin Carving Party

Last Saturday was Uncle Doe's Annual Pumpkin Party. 5th one actually. It is probably my favorite party all year. We all meet at uncle Doe's house and eat dinner, and then he says go, and all the kids run to the garden and pick a pumpkin to carve. This year he said GO and all the kids ran right through the freshly rototilled garden in the thickest part. I was so surprised no one sunk in the dirt and fell over, but their shoes were pretty full of dirt. SOO Funny!! Jason is so gracious to do this party every year. The kids love their Uncle Doe. I know my kids look forward to the carving party all year. It is just good ole plain "dirty" fun. Clay carved his very own pumpkin this year from start to finish. I was so proud of him. Garrett really just wanted to keep picking pumpkins out of the garden, so I could carve them for him. I put a stop to that in a jiffy. There are only so many pumpkins a mom can clean out. Jared had to run to the temple to Jed's endowment session, so I was a loner this year, for the carving part anyways. It was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Thank- you Uncle Doe!
