History was Made...

Although Obama may not have been my choice for President, (actually I didn't care for either one of them this time around), I am grateful to see History take place yesterday. This event has been long in the making. I cant understand how people with a little color ever got treated the way they did to begin with. People are people, no matter what they look like. Im so glad to see society finally acting like grown-ups about such a silly difference in appearance. I watched a lot of the Inauguration yesterday on the television, and I enjoyed it. When I was younger, I never even payed attention to any of the politics, but now it kind of intrigues me a little. I do not think very highly about most politicians, but I guess our country needs them right? I wish we could see a little good ole plain honesty in some of the men, where did that go? Michelle Obama is a beautiful lady, and I don't think they could have cuter daughters. I hope this whole thing doesn't ruin their childhood. The youngest one tickles me, she's always just a little mischievous, ya gotta love that in a little girl who has the whole world watching her. Anyhow, my hope now is that Obama really can bring about a little change. We'll see huh?

This was such a great day...I loved it and made sure my kids watched it to know the importance of it. Like you Kym I've never been a huge poilitican but as my kids get older and the future lies in their hands I have gotten more aware of the issues.
Like Obama said we've got our system not let's see if it works...
As with every politician I don't agree with everything (abortion is my only issue as of now) but I still have high hopes for him and I am thinking our foreign policy will change because of him....I am hoping.
Great post Kym...Love ya girl!
